NCDVs award winning app has now been approved by Sussex Police and will be available to all officers from the Google playstore.
Following on from the London Met, Sussex police have fully embraced the NCDV app which allows instant referrals of domestic violence and abuse victims from an iphone, Android or Windows phone.
PS Stewart DS796 advised NCDV of the good news today confirming that the app was now on the “approved list”.
Mark Groves Head of Operations at NCDV said “It’s great that the police are seeing real life benefits from our app, many other forces are trialing the technology and I know that more will be following Sussex.”
NCDVs Training Manager for Sussex, Sally Herzog said “I have trained hundreds of officers in Sussex and at every session officers are really enthusiastic about the app but frustrated because it was not officially approved, but now it is I expect many officers will download it straight away.”
The app has already won a global award and is nominated for the Mobile Innovations award due to be announced in October.
