Union Rep Training
Come and join our national network of Community Union Reps!
We are building a network of amazing Union Reps who can act of domestic abuse workplace Champions to help change workplace culture and assist employees who are affected.
This 2hr remote training provides a team of up to 25 Reps with the tools to signpost and support an employee, and push for policy and procedures that address domestic abuse and support those who are impacted.
We are in the process of setting up quarterly recorded briefings for all those who train with us, so you can stay connected and get updates long after the training is complete. We’re building a network – come and join us!
The cost is extremely competitive because we know training budgets are under strain.

Who is this training for?
This remote training course is suitable for Union Reps to help them understand the basics of domestic abuse and support employers to develop and enact related policy and practice, as well as being able to support and signpost employees impacted.

- Legal definitions – domestic abuse and coercive control
- Overview of domestic abuse behaviours
- Prevalence and statistics
- Impacts on employee affected, colleagues and organisation
- Employer legal and ethical responsibilities
- Support and signposting
- Improving internal policy and culture
Learning objectives
To provide delegates with:
- A basic awareness of domestic abuse
- Understanding of the potential impacts of domestic abuse on employees and business
- Assistance to practically respond to disclosures
- Information about appropriate employer responses, policy and risk management.
