NCDV have arranged for their training sessions to be presented at three venues across the country.
Traditionally NCDV take their training direct to the police and agencies but demand has created the necessity to hold bigger events.
Mark Groves, Head of Operations said ” A couple of years ago we held a number of large training events across the country which were extremely successful more recently we have focused on presenting to smaller groups in the offices of the police and agencies however we have had a constant flow of requests to have more multi agency training days.”
Events will be held in Bristol, Bodmin and Bradford more details can be found by clicking on the links below.
NCDV’s training has always been free and the multi events will also be free to attend, Mark said ” We have never charged for training and it has always been difficult to keep up with demand so hopefully these events will allow us to show many more people how NCDV works in the same amount of time.”
Training will take attendees through the process of obtaining a non molestation order and occupation order, legal aid, Mckenzie Friends, court documents, ASSIST the national injunction database, Refer Direct the award winning referral system and the process that NCDV use to ensure the victim, referrer, court and police are kept up to date on the progress of an application.
Each session will take between 45 and 60 minutes which will include a question and answer section at the end.
Mark said “not only is this a great way to spend a couple of hours out of the office but also to have a chance to meet with other people that help victims”
Each session has limited seats so it is advisable to register your interest.
