You don't need a bruise to be a victim
Apply for an Order
You can use this form to ask NCDV for help obtaining a protective court order for yourself, or for someone else with their permission.
Our service is free. We help people who have recently experienced domestic abuse, threats, harassment or violence to understand whether a civil injunction may be available to them.
Once you submit the form, it will be sent securely to our First Steps Team. We aim to contact you, or the person you are referring, as soon as possible to discuss what has happened and explain the next steps. Submitting the form does not mean that you have committed to making a court application – you are in control.
We will first assess the circumstances, explain the available options and answer any questions. Unfortunately, not every application will meet the criteria for an order. That does not mean your experiences of abuse are not truthful and valid, it means that at this time your situation does not meet the necessary legal requirements. This might feel disappointing and frustrating. We will signpost you to other sources of help and support.
If you are making a professional referral from the police or another agency, we will keep you updated on its progress where appropriate.

After a police referral and assistance from yourselves, legal aid and a solicitor you appointed me, today I was able to obtain a non-molestation order. I had been the victim of systematic DV. Undergoing this abuse for two years left me deeply traumatised and feeling scared, anxious and powerless. With your help, I was able to reclaim my personal power, self-respect and dignity. I am currently on a path to healing from this trauma. I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me to feel safer in this world. As citizens, we do not realise how precious our freedom and personal safety are until it is under threat. With your help, I am now reclaiming my life and myself. God bless you and the work you do in this world.
