Civil Injunction Service

NCDV provides a free, fast service for people who need legal protection from domestic abuse.

We help people apply for civil injunctions, regardless of their financial circumstances, gender, sexuality, ethnicity or background. Although we primarily help people with emergency injunctions (without notice) each referral is assessed individually, and we explain the legal options available and the most appropriate next steps.

Anyone working with victim-survivors of domestic abuse and coercive control can refer to us quickly and easily. We also accept self-referrals.

We aim to contact people as quickly as possible, usually the next working day, and assist people in a sensitive and trauma-informed way during a stressful and difficult time. A trained and experienced person works with each applicant throughout the process.
