Sufra NW London is a Food Bank and Community Hub, supporting those in need across North West London. People come to Sufra destitute, often without hope, we aim to change this. We provide our guests with the food and support they urgently need to survive. But we aim to be more than a food bank. We empower our guests using our advice services and training courses to learn new skills to help them find work and become financially stable.
We have a dedicated advice team which supports people in crisis. Our Advice Worker offers ongoing face-to-face guidance and support for people in crisis on a range of issues such as benefits, housing and employment. The service is only available to Food Bank guests – you can find out more about how to access the Food Bank
Our Refugee Resettlement Programme provides a comprehensive support service to a wide range of refugees and asylum seekers.
We help people find suitable housing, provide them with the food they need to stay healthy, and enable them to access welfare benefits and medical services they deserve. We provide access to ESOL classes and organise regular life-skills workshops, a women’s support group and a children’s homework club. To help families integrate, we also organise regular outings that enable refugee families learn more about life and culture in the UK
