Paws Protect is Cats Protection’s free, confidential cat fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, covering London and the home counties. We understand that pets can present one of multiple barriers to people leaving abusive situations, so we exist to enable people to leave for safety knowing that their cat will be in a loving home until they are able to be reunited. The Women’s Aid member service is run by a small, female-only team of experienced staff, who take referrals, collect cats safely, and arrange volunteer foster homes for pets, covering all costs of vet care, food etc. If we can help or to find out more, please call us on 0345 260 1280 or email pawsprotect@cats.org.uk, or visit our website.
