These steps apply to the process of becoming a McKenzie Friend only. Other applications should be submitted directly to the Volunteer Team.

 

4 Steps to becoming a McKenzie Friend

 

1 » Download the McKenzie Friend Information Pack

This pack contains information needed to answer questions in the online application form, as well as general details about the McKenzie Friend role.

 

2 » Apply via the online application form

There is no time limit however the application must be completed in one go. NCDV will not receive your application until you press submit (you will receieve an email confirming receipt of your application). We suggest you look at the application brief and application form prior to submitting your application.

3 » Attend and complete McKenzie Friend training

Here you will undergo training for all aspects of the McKenzie Friend role. Everyone will be given the NCDV volunteering guide to be used throughout your McKenzie Friend experience.

4 » Start working as a McKenzie Friend

We encourage everyone to begin volunteering as a McKenzie Friend immediately after completing training. We will have already registered your details on our internal operations database using the information you provided in your original application and as such are ready to start working with you straight away!
